Shereen Jerrett has filmed everything from vampire castles in Romania to a hair museum in Indiana.  She has made films about neurotics, nerds, and family members.  She works both in both indies and commercial fare, and her award winning projects have screened at festivals around the world.  She has produced, written, directed and edited documentaries, dramas, art projects, TV series, commercials, lifestyle shows, educational series and government videos.  She has worked with numerous production companies throughout North America.

 

As an educator, she has taught filmmaking courses at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg for the past fifteen years.  As well, she also teaches numerous workshops for the National Screen Institute, the Winnipeg Film Group, Film Training Manitoba, and ImagiNative. 

She has attended high level workshops and seminars across the country, learning from people from the American Film Institute, Columbia University, Banff Centre, and the Canadian Film Centre.  

 

Shereen Jerrett’s recent work includes writing a dramatic feature film screeplay for APTN; writing and directing an hour-long documentary on Mardi Gras with Buffalo Gal Pictures; directing three episodes on the Gemini winning X-Weighted III series; and producing, writing, shooting and editing  the documentary TV series Flat City Stories for MTS television. 

 

She is a script editor both freelance and for the National Screen Institute.
